WUPY Session: Trip to Sahara Aalhad
WUPY SESSION - 27th July 2010
WUPY Sessions are a chance for past, present and new volunteers to meet up and discuss HIV and AIDS in interesting and creative ways.
This week we will be visiting Sahara Aalhad, a residential care and rehabilitation centre for people living with HIV. Whilst there we will be meeting the founder of the NGO, as well as having group discussions about HIV in India.
We have arranged a mini-bus for the evening, so we can all travel from Pune to Sahara together. It will be leaving from Deep Griha Society, which is No.13 Tadiwala Road, at 1700 on Tuesday afternoon. The journey to Wagholi is around 20 minutes, once there at Sahara we'll have a quick tour, some Q&A with the founder, and some discussion about HIV. We'll be back at Deep Griha Society for around 1900 - though this depends on traffic and how much talking we do!
All are welcome to come, though as there is limited space, if you could drop us an email to let us know you're coming that would be great. If not, just turn up.. you can sit on the roof!
If you'd like any more information, or any help on the day, please ring Chris, 09907 176219, or Jennie, 08087 866782. Alternatively, drop us an email - wakeuppune@gmail.com
Hope to see you there!
