June 2008 - India National Youth Shadow Report 2008, from the Global Youth AIDS Coalition on HIV/AIDS. Written by Himakshi Piplani, a Wake Up Pune volunteer.

January 2008 - '
Reducing HIV Stigma and Discrimination: a critical part of national AIDS programmes'. Report published by UNAIDS.

January 2008 - HIV Knowledge & Awareness Quiz. On World AIDS Day, Wake Up Pune collected more than 140 responses to an HIV Knowledge & Awareness Quiz. The findings are presented in this report.

December 2007 -
Public Perceptions of HIV in Pune. A survey conducted with 4000 people across the city of Pune looking at their knowledge about the facts of HIV and their attitudes towards those living with HIV. Indian Express article here.

December 2007 - World AIDS Day Bulletin from the The Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance, a broad ecumenical network for international cooperation in advocacy on global trade and HIV and AIDS.

December 2007 - The December 2007 AIDS epidemic update from WHO and UNAIDS with both global and India specific data.

November 2007 - Summary of India's 3rd National Family Health Survey (2005-2006). NFHS-3 includes data on HIV awareness and estimated prevalence rates for the first time (summarised here).

December 2007 - Disclosure of HIV Status to Children and Adolescents:
When and How?
A brief review on the current medical and sociological studies examining when and how to inform children and adolescents of their HIV infection.

October 2007 - Abstinence-only program approaches to reducing the prevalence of HIV. A look at the facts and controversies behind abstinence-only education programs, with a focus on Thailand, Brazil, the US and Uganda as well the local relevance to India.
